Pacific Jack Band

The Historic Brookdale Lodge is excited to host the Pacific Jack Band Sunday, October 6th from 12-3 in our beer garden!

Jack Hanson - Guitar, Lead Vocals
Jack plays a masterful rhythm and lead guitar, without a guitar pick. Obtaining his first guitar as a gift in Paris, France in 1965, he started lessons with the bass player of one of the Santa Cruz surf bands. He continued playing at local venues with several bands as a lead guitarist while studying voice at Cabrillo College.
Since 1997 he has played as featured vocalist and lead guitarist as part of several Santa Cruz bands and performed at various venues from San Louis Obispo, Monterey, San Francisco, up to Lake Tahoe and Reno and most points in between. Eventually the 40+ years of music experience evolved into the Pacific Jack Band.

Don Rutter - Drums
On the drums the Pacific Jack Band features Mr. Don Rutter, aka “The Hammer”, who has been playing in the Santa Cruz are for many decades. He has played with many different bands in the Monterey Bay area and beyond, before joining the Pacific Jack Band.

Andrew Parker - Bass, Vocals
On the bass the PJB features Andrew Parker. Andrew has been playing with various bands in the Monterey Bay area since 2007. With a background in blues, funk, and jazz, he creates a steady foundation together with Don, "The Hammer" on drums.

Dr. T - Flute, Saxophones, and Vocals
Dr. T, a Berklee College of Music graduate, has been playing in the Monterey Bay Area with many local bands since 2001. He played several times at the Monterey Bay Blues Festival as well and he has been performing as a solo artist as well. 

The Pacific Jack Band’s unique members bring a lot of energy and experience to the stage and will make you want to dance and listen to the wide variety of songs they play which include many original compositions.
